One of the original Cape Town hostels, Long Street Backpackers - under new management - has been reborn as an iconic institution of contemporary South African culture. Famous for its friendly atmosphere, incredibly lush social spaces, communal activities and fantastic location, LSB is the best place to experience everything Cape Town has to offer.
Set in a private and secure courtyard oasis on Long Street, in the heart of Cape Town's Central Business District, LSB is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, clubs, gyms, parks, museums and art galleries. The hostel is also ideally situated to access Cape Town's famous beaches and mountains.
Backpackers and hostels have changed a great deal in the last decade, but LSB remains dedicated to communalism and inclusivity, and maintains a fun and laid-back environment for guests.

25 years ago these two Backpackers met at L.S.B. Now, 4 kids and 25 years later, they decided to stop by and check out the Long street backpackers again. Shaker showed them the adjustments and changes that appeared in those years. They were hyped how mama Africa across the street is still running and how the place is still a place of good company, love, friendship and creating lifelong memories.❤️
